The Magic Of Mini-Sites

Mini-sites are really simple. They’re small websites that have just one or two pages. They zero in on a very specific sub-topic of your niche and are based around highly targeted, usually long-tail, keywords. A mini-site is focused on one goal and one goal only – to get the visitor to take action now.
Why You Need Them
Creating a mini-site has a wealth of advantages. If you offer a number of different products or services, you can create one for each. For example, if you’re a webcontent writer with several specialized niches, you can create a completely original site for eachniche. When somebody’s looking for the specific niche you write in,they’ll find your site and know quickly that you’re the one.
You can also use them to maximize your search engine optimization. Each site can target specific keywords in your niche, basically multiplying your SEO efforts. However, when you do this be careful to make the content slightly different so that you don’t have duplicate content.
The really cool thing about this is that they’re extremely easy to create and fill with content. You can just create a system and a template, and copy as many timesas you’d like. Once you make several, this is a task that’s easyto outsource because you’ve got your own simple formula.
Do Mini-Sites Really Make Money?
Since mini-sites are highly targeted for certain keywords in a specific market, they don’t pull in a whole ton of money usually. What one mini-site will make you per day will be pretty modest because you’re not going for massive traffic. But the key to making the mini-site strategy work is to just keep on building and building. If you’ve got a site that brings in a dollar a day, 50 similar sites will get you $50 per day. And that’s not too shabby!
How To Start Building Them
The first step in creating a mini-site empire is to choose keywords. Pick just one or a handful of keywords and key phrases for each site. Then, base the site totally around them. Make sure they’re in the title, Meta tags, headlines, and content.
Web design for mini-sites should be simple, straightforward, and clean. The whole thing should focus on the text and what you’re offering, so you don’t have to get too fancy. Create one design formula to use for all of your sites to make it easy on yourself.
The content is really important. Itneeds to get straight to the point and focus on what you’re offering. Everything should lead the visitor like a funnel straight to the ‘buy now’ button or othercall to action. Always keep in mindthat this is the main point of the site.
Since it’s all about setting them up and getting them going quickly, buying ads for mini-sites is usually the way to go. You can get targeted traffic for your specific keywords quickly. It takestoo long to build backlinks yourself. What some people do is build traffic themselves on their first mini-site and, once it’s making money, invest it in buying traffic for the next. However, youcan do it any way you’d like. Start with one site, see what works, and then duplicate endlessly.
